The duration of a browser session depends on the functioning of the web browser used by the visitor. Session-specific cookies are deleted when the browser or window is closed.

Tracking cookies
The website's visitor tracking collects general data on the use of the website that is used for developing the website and controlling its quality. The data collected includes details of the pages viewed, time of visit, web browser and operating system. The visitor's IP address is not collected for statistical purposes. Visitor tracking is based on a random sequence of numbers that cannot be connected to an individual person. No visitor paths are generated based on the visitor tracking data.
The use of cookies and visitor tracking on our website have been implemented in cooperation with the Legal Register Centre and Abako Oy.
Yvtltk.fi uses the visitor tracking system of the website publication platform (Sigma). The visitor tracking system stores the following cookies on the visitor's browser:
- The cookie beginning with ‘neta’: This cookie is used to distinguish between visitors. It is valid until it is deleted.
- StatoSession: A content management cookie, which is used to maintain information about a user session. The cookie is valid for the duration of the visit, which means it will expire when the browser is closed.
You can allow or block tracking cookies by changing your browser settings. If you block cookies, the visitor tracking will only store session-specific information, and the cookies will expire when your browsing session ends.
Visitor tracking data is stored on servers located in the data centre of the Government ICT Centre Valtori. Visitor tracking data will not be disclosed to third parties, and third parties will not be given access to any data collected for visitor tracking purposes. Statistics may be disclosed for internal use within the judicial administration, for example for developing services or for information purposes.
Technical log data on the website and telecommunications connections
Technical log data that is necessary for transmitting information, providing the service and ensuring information security is collected on the use of the yvtltk.fi website and the telecommunications connections used to access it. The log data includes data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as their IP address and timestamp. This log data is used only to enable the provision of the service via the telecommunications network and to investigate any disruptions and information security incidents.
In respect of the log data, each of the above-mentioned authorities acts as the controller responsible for the processing of personal data for its own part. The Legal Register Centre is responsible for the technical management of log data.
The log data collected for the purpose of monitoring the use, disclosure and legality will be retained for five years.
The Act on the Provision of Digital Services requires that authorities ensure data protection and information security in connection with providing digital services. The General Data Protection Regulation also requires that personal data be protected.
